It is recommended that the concrete floor is self-leveled.
Even if other means are used to prepare the concrete floor the uneven floor variances shouldn’t exceed 20mm
For the Installation of subfloor, please refer to the installation of DRIcore.
DRIFLOOR employs the interlocking tongue and groove (T/G) feature to ensure a tight fit. It is not required to staple or nail. However, it is recommended to use wood glue on T/G
The order of installation from the concrete floor to the DRIFLOOR (finished flooring) is Concrete floor – (Sound Absorbing Pad (3mm)) – (Leveling Kit 2t) – DRIFLOOR.DRIFLOOR/SPORTS:
It is the same as DRIFLOOR/CL if cushion (area elastic) is not required. However, when extra cushion is required Shock Absorbing Pad (4mm) needs to be placed between the Sound Absorbing Pad (3mm) and the Leveling Kit.
Any low spots in the concrete surface requiring wooden blocks or multiple Leveling Kits need to be built up with a liquid concrete floor leveler or a similar product. It is also important that the T/G lines are properly built up to ensure a proper installation.
Areas of heavy usage and/or heavy loads must be properly leveled and stuffed strongly.
All four sides of the finished floor must be anchored to the concrete floor.
Once the DRIFLOOR is laid it is imperative to cover the surface with a protective layer to prevent the pre-finished surface from being damaged.
